For the quality and price they come with, these Louis Vuitton dupes are seriously worth it. But you have to keep in mind that these are just the Louis Vuitton lookalikes, not knockoffs, so .

You said you think they are more common and perhaps they are in the Rolex wearing world but I hardly ever see them in the wild. Black is the classic color of the Rolex dive watch and as such has an iconic status. Green is the corporate color, and for what it's worth, is the much less seen reference "in the wild". If I had to pick one over the other, I'd take the increased functionality of the LV but that's just me. Watch: Submariner 5513. Posts: 1,694. BLUE and I came close to getting one in 2000 but given that I was traveling a lot back then it was too flashy for most of the places i went..

Am I a fool for considering to sell/trade the submariner? I know the main rule here is Never Sell Your Submariner. With three black/darker dials I thought maybe trade sub around and pony up $$ for a white or blue or dial dj41/Daytona/ maybe oysterflex something.Retention value should be irrelevant. That being said I prefer the black. I think it is more elegant and understated than the blue which screams summertime and look at me watch. Blue is great as a second watch for the right occasions, but the black is a great all year around watch. Stands out just enough from the classic black stainless sub look, but still wears well everyday with any outfit. The sunburst green dial is too much for me. I also like the slimmer profile of the new lugs.
I have consolidated to "needing" that pop of green color on the LV as it is much more dramatic and complementary to both black gloss dial and green bezel. Its a bit flashier but not as extreme green as the original Hulk which I also owned. I also love the history of the Submariner and while I think the Batman looks cool AF I just have to have a Submariner. Currently I have the LV listed as my 1st preference, I love the green and the original Kermit with its slim case and Maxi Dial.
